Book your accomodation ASAP to avoid disapointment on the net or by phone.(Ph.46814888). John from Stanthorpe,will take a short ride Saturday about 9.30am for about an hour to one & half hours to show off the sights around Stanthorpe. Also on Sunday morning wil return via "The Cedar Route" and maybe drop into the Maryvale Pub for lunch for those interested in a little deviation from the main route home. | Sat 31-Mar | BP Blacksoil 8.30am-9.00am | Tin Can Bay Week-End | Ride via Murphy's Creek,Goombungee,Bunya Mountains with Tea Break on way,Lunch at Kingaroy then on to Gympie and out to Tin Can Bay. Stay at"The Sleepy Lagoon" Hotel/Motel (where they have beautiful meals)and enjoy a sit around and chat session or explore the sights and sounds of Tin Can Bay. Hotel will cook breakfast and if you desire can see the Dolphins feed at the wharf, then ride back to Gympie,then taking the Imbil Turnoff,ride to Kenilworth for Morning Tea and then the back way to Maleny then returning to the Bruce Highway and a good-bye stop at BP Caboolture. Please book as soon as possible to secure Motel or Hotel room(only ten rooms available at present but if you can let me know your coming,will hold those ten)and also please use RSVP to let us know who is interested. RIDE DATES;
Unless otherwise arranged, rides will be on the 3rd Sunday of the month, and Social rides, the following weekend, with other social events as announced throughout the year.
All monthly and social rides are for the enjoyment of members and guests. They are not race or competition events; please ride at your own skill level and observe the road rules.
ATTN: Ride Leaders
- Please check the details of your ride and let me know of any changes.
- Organize 2 raffle prizes for your ride. Suggested value approximately $10.00 each. Raffle tickets will be made available from the Treasurer.
- IMPORTANT: Even if you have not finalized the details of your ride, just supply the start timeandlocation, the general direction of the ride, and the meal arrangements.
- Please provide a short pre-ride briefing that outlines the basic safety precautions that we in the AWRA like to observe when riding in groups, and a little about the ride and the rest stop locations.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY ON RIDES:
Each motorcyclist is responsible for their own safety, adherence to the road rules and must ensure the following;- The roadworthiness of your vehicle (including trailer).
- That you are in a fit condition to control the vehicle, (including trailer).
- Make sure you have a full tank of fuel before departing on a ride.
- That you obey all the traffic rules and ride in a safe manner.
- That you ride in a considerate manner that does not endanger, or unnecessarily inconvenience other road users.
- To be correctly attired for safe motorcycling.
- To have fun and enjoy the day, and the company.
Thanks for all those that have offered to organize rides and socials. That is what makes this club so great. If you are yet to conduct a ride or organize a social, please start to plan something so that when your turn arrives you will be ready. You don’t have to wait to be asked, just let me know.
